Meet Kellie.

Kellie Holmes is an accomplished hospitality consultant specializing in the creation, implementation, and education of small wine programs for restaurants and artisanal groceries across the Southeast and beyond. She offers an approachable translation to the wine world, making it accessible and enjoyable for both novice and seasoned enthusiasts. Since 2020, she has dedicated herself to consulting, working with diverse clients to enhance their wine programs and operations. 

Her expertise extends to restaurant collaborations, partnerships, and activations at major events. Kellie’s deep understanding of hospitality and intuitive her management style enable her to read the logistical dynamics of any room. She anticipates how staff and guests will interact, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience. Her emotionally aware and decisive approach allows her to navigate complex situations effortlessly, offering strategic support to restaurant operations and enhancing guest satisfaction.

Kellie has facilitated events for multiple Italian Consortiums and Vins de Bourgogne, and has served as a judge at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. Her industry expertise is further recognized through her participation in Consortium sponsored trade tours of Abruzzo, Chianti, and Sip Trip with Jeff Porter. She has attended global wine events such as VieVinum in Vienna and the RAW wine fair in NYC.

As Co-Chair of the Slow Food Charleston chapter, Kellie champions sustainable wine practices and small producers. She leads monthly wine club tastings and a weekly Wine Wednesday at Herd Provisions, selecting bottles that align with sustainability and unique provenance. Kellie is also a partial owner and the wine buyer for Stems and Skins.

With a degree in Theater from the College of Charleston, Kellie has led restaurant teams in Atlanta, Napa Valley, San Francisco, and Charleston. Her past roles include positions at Bacchanalia, ZD Winery, Terra, AME in the St. Regis SF, A16, McCrady's, Basic Kitchen, and Stems & Skins. 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Kellie enjoys reading, travelling, pilates, making dinner for friends, and sharing wine with loved ones.
